Maggie and Chris’ Boston Wedding

Being alums of Tufts, Maggie and Chris chose a nostalgic place for their ceremony, Tufts’ Goddard Chapel. We did their “first site” under the Bowden Gate, since it’s apart of Tufts folklore. (According to legend, couples who kiss under the Bowden Gate will eventually marry.) Then we headed back to Boston, battling marathon weekend traffic, to the Back Bay Sheraton, where a huge party ensued.

Flowers: Fino Fresh Floral Design

Band: Night Rhythm

Uplighting: RC Uplighting

Cake: Konditor Meister

Painting the cannon in front of the Goddard Chapel is a Tufts tradition. Maybe tradition isn’t even strong enough a word, it’s a Really Big Deal. So the bridal party surprised Maggie and Chris by having it painted for the ceremony.

This is for the Tufts alums – Go Jumbos!!

Kyla & Kevin

Last weekend I spent a beautiful day with Kyla and Kevin. They got married at the Hyatt Harborside, which is very fitting because it’s right in their neighborhood! They live in East Boston and Kevin also runs a fantastic pizza joint there called Doughie’s.

VENUE: Hyatt Harborside
FLOWERS: My Personal Florist
CAKE: Konditormeister
BAND: Night Rhythm

Kyla’s sister-in-law Danielle held the dress up to get it ready for Kyla to step in, and I managed to grab her face peeking right through.

One of my favorite photos of Kyla. It has a nice vintage feel to it (which goes very well with her vintage-inspired dress).

Kevin seeing Kyla before the ceremony.

Loved the shadows here.

The ceremony, overlooking the water and skyline.

The bridal party formed a circle around them.

Kevin & Kyla’s cousin, doing a sweet reading from The Velveteen Rabbit, on becoming real.

Cocktail hour on the patio.

Love the suit!

Inside the tent.

The cake had a vintage top, inspired by Kyla’s dress.

You can still see the beautiful view from the inside.

Tired already and the party hasn’t even started!

I loved the atmosphere.

Night Rhythm really got the dance floor crowded.

And the party’s still going inside.

Now it’s off to Greece for Kyla & Kevin. See you when you get back!
