Kristen used to be a devoted ice skater – and by devoted, I mean she could literally do jumps – so they decided on ice skating on the Frog Pond for a few fun engagement photos in the Boston winter.

You may remember this lovely couple from their Boston wedding at the State Room this summer. Well, here’s the first part of their engagement session, when they wanted to do photos outside their home with their cute little pup who totally stole the show. Jennifer and Mark love literature, art, history and architecture, so where better to do their engagement session than the Boston Athenaeum. The Boston Athenaeum is a private library, but Jennifer and Mark are members. Even so, we had to be pretty stealthy when photographing, finding little hidden corners and places where there weren’t authors huddled over manuscripts, seriously working on their next novels. Can’t wait for their wedding in a few weeks at the Codman Estate.
