Hanh and Frank’s Boston Wedding

You’ve got to love a couple who meet with you and tell you that they love photos with different angles and perspectives, and when people are uniquely framed by elements of a space. Those were Hanh’s exact words to me when she and Frank first met me. I felt like we were a photographer-client match made in heaven. We had a great time at their engagement session at the Christian Science Center and I was excited about photographing their upcoming Boston wedding. They love all things Boston, and so decided on the State Room for its breathtaking city and harbor views, and Emilie from Pink Orchid Weddings coordinated the event flawlessly. Frank is also a very talented singer, and one of the sweetest things about their wedding was when he sang to Hanh during the reception. Such a lovely gift on their first day of marriage.

A Shining Tides Wedding in Mattapoisett

I’ve worked with this family so much this year, I feel like I’ve gotten to know them all so well (how about another wedding in a few months, guys?). Ren and Topher are the perfect partners for each other. Their personalities balance one another so well, they pretty much go together like peanut butter and jelly. They had a gorgeous wedding day in Mattapoisett and a party by the sea at Shining Tides.

Phoebe and Brian’s Marion Wedding

I love when a couple chooses a wedding venue with a lot of meaning. The place that Phoebe and Brian chose for their Marion wedding really had a special place in their hearts. The Hermitage, the name of the property, has been in Phoebe’s family for generations. You can feel a sense of history in the house, the land, and the water. We had a fabulous day at not just one, but two cocktail hours, a boat ride, and a festive tented reception.

Thanks, Laura. And yes, that was a cake made of cheese wheels!! The family owns a dairy farm so they are all about good cheese.

Boston City Hall Wedding

Being one of the only witnesses at someone’s wedding is such an honor.  Xiaoman and Denis had 3 other guests plus me at their intimate ceremony at Boston’s City Hall. But even with only three guests, there was plenty of laughter, tears, and emotion. We then headed to Boston University where they met during grad school, to take some photos around campus and on the rooftop, which had amazing views of the Back Bay and the Charles River.

What a delightful wedding! I loved the shot of them going down the stairs in City hall and the horizontal of them in the rain. Such beautiful work, as always :)
