“Welcome to Lauren and Andrew’s Murder-Mystery Wedding”, was how the Best Man started his speech. And it was very appropriate, as a lightening storm hit the estate and the power went out right at the beginning of cocktail hour, and stayed out for the entire evening. Candles were lit, a generator was found, and the rest of the evening took place in the semidarkness of the mansion. Luckily my trusty flashes provided enough light for the photos, and the guests had a blast – it was definitely a wedding that I’ll never forget.

Joyelle - Hi Katya – Unfortunately, no, I don’t know where she ordered it from!

Miriam and Jake had such a thoughtful approach to their wedding. Their wedding day had a low-key vibe at Gore Place, with their ceremony held in a field under an apple tree, and their reception filled with interesting food from food trucks. They also included so many personal touches in their day. Jake is a glass blower and made the glasses that they used in the ceremony, for drinking wine and stomping on the glass. Miriam made their ketuba and Jake built their chuppah. They also arranged all of their flowers and made candy by hand (which I can personally say was delicious).

Venue: Gore Place | Dress: BHLDN | Food Trucks: Clover and the Taco Truck | Pies: Petsi Pies

    Imani Romney-Rosa - How beautiful!

Quinnie and Andrea’s half-Chinese, half-Italian wedding at Glen Magna Farms was a blast. Impromptu singing by Quinnie, and not just one flash mob but three set the tone for a spontaneous and fun party at a beautiful garden venue.

Day of coordination: Marrero Events | Florist: Karla Cassidy | Caterer: Harvest Catering

I have to love a bride who starts off her wedding day with an outdoor yoga class. That vibe pretty much sums up Maire and Brad’s wedding at the Pelham House on Cape Cod. Low-key and fun with elegant touches, and ending with a firepit on the beach. I especially loved Maire’s wedding dress, a sheath of hemp silk handmade by a friend of hers.

Alissa and Stu wanted the focus of their wedding to be spending time with all of their friends and family who were there, so they choose a venue where they could spend the whole weekend with their guests – a summer camp! So in June everyone came together at Chimney Corners Camp in the Berkshires for a fun-filled weekend. Their ceremony was in the outdoor “camp chapel,” a clearing in the woods which was right on the lake, and the reception was in the camp’s dining hall. The whole weekend was perfectly coordinated by Gabrielle Stone of Stone Event Planning.
