Betsy and Andrew’s wedding on Cape Cod in Brewster was summery and fun. This was the third time that I’ve photographed this extended family and every time has been a blast. It was great to see everyone again, chat with the older aunts about the family property (a giant piece of land that has been in the family for generations, before the founding of Brewster as a town), and see the old wooden family car still running. Congrats Betsy and Andrew!

Amy and Rick were married at Rick’s family’s Cape Cod house, overlooking the dune grass and the ocean. Their ceremony was followed by a giant party and two huge bonfires on the beach. I loved Amy’s sophisticated, modern take on her day. She gave a typically traditional setting an elegant and urban spin. The entire day was gracefully coordinated by Jamie Bohlin of Cape Cod Celebrations.

I was looking forward to Brittany and Brandon’s wedding ever since their World’s End engagement session last year. I’ve photographed the Crane Estate numerous times but I’ve never been to the Barn at the Crane Estate, and it feels like a completely different venue. I was in love with the beautiful old garden, the sweeping grounds, and the light we had that day. All of that plus Brittany’s artistic vision all made for such a gorgeous day to photograph.

Jenny and Adam got ready at their apartment in Cambridge and then headed over to the Codman Estate in Lincoln, a beautiful old colonial farm that dates back to the 1740s. Their ceremony was in the Italian Garden and reception in the cozy Carriage House, and the overall vibe of the day was relaxed and fun. Jenny and Adam are also fellow hikers and have done a bit of exploring on the trail system around Codman, so we used the woodsy backdrop of the trails for their first look. It was so lovely to spend the day with their family and friends, many of whom had come a great distance for the celebration.

Codman Estate Wedding Highlight Film - […] This was our first time working with Joyelle West Photography. What a treat! We loved the thoughtfulness behind her photographs. Check them out here. […]

I love photographing at the Boston Public Library, it’s right in the heart of Copley Square but its Renaissance courtyard makes me feel like I’m transported right to Italy. So I was thrilled to be photographing CJ and Bobby’s wedding there a few weeks ago, when they and their family and friends came to Boston for a destination wedding. Special thanks to Stone Event Planning for their expert coordination!
