Dayna, Danny, and I met up for their e-session on the Charles on a beautiful late summer afternoon. (Ok, it was practically early fall and I just don’t want to admit it.) After some initial major gusts of wind on Memorial Drive, we found some cool spots under the bridges to shoot, where the wind was calmer and the backdrops were funky and industrial (my favorite). We had a super fun afternoon of taking in the Boston scenery and the late summer (ok early fall) sun. Can’t wait for their wedding at the Exchange Conference Center in October!

Dayna and Paul
I can’t wait for Dayna and Paul’s wedding in November at the Charles River Museum of Industry. Their love of everything vintage, combined with Paul’s design talent and a very unique venue will definitely create a wedding to remember. In the meantime, we had our engagement session in Davis Square, complete with some fun new locations and fantastic light.
Catherine and Alex
Alex proposed to Catherine on Georges Island, so there was really no better place to do their engagement photos. It was my first time to any of the Boston Harbor Islands, and it was a basically a photographer’s dream. The weather was a bit chilly for June, but that probably kept the crowds out, and we had the island to ourselves. We talked about our mutual love of hiking, and also of coffee, and we shot in one fantastic location after another. Thanks guys!!
Liz and Ethan
Last week I met up with Liz and Ethan for their e-session at Davis Square. They picked Davis because it’s where they hang out a lot (Redbones, Diesel Cafe) but I also loved it for its design potential. So many funky little places to shoot in such a compact space. We had a fun evening (and I think they get the award for most strangers talking to us during an engagement shoot).
Lynne and Ben
I’ve known Lynne for awhile now – I photographed her headshots a few years ago, and I was honored when she wanted me to photograph her upcoming wedding! But first, the engagement session. Lynne and Ben and I had a fantastic time while we were shooting last week. A few of my favorites:
After the session, Lynne wrote me this: “Oh my gosh Joyelle, these are amazing!!!!! I am speechless. Thank you again, we had such a blast shooting with you, can’t wait for the big day!”
Me, too, Lynne! Looking forward to it!
