Upstairs On The Square

One warm and inviting Saturday this fall, I had the pleasure of working with my good friend and awesome photographer Ana Maria Cardenas on Cathryn and Kamryn’s wedding at Upstairs On The Square. These two ladies had their wedding at seriously one of the most fun restaurants in the city. If you never been there, imagine it as a restaurant version of Alice In Wonderland. The walls are shockingly green, the ceiling pink, the lights red, the decor fabulously brash. I had an excellent time snagging some fun details of the space, as well as getting some lovely portraits of the women beforehand.

I love how different the grandfather looks in these two photographs.

I loved these colors in contrast to the walls.

Maria & Kevin

Maria and Kevin had a completely lovely and personal wedding at the end of August. They are both definitely urban people, so they chose the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center as their venue. They had a good friend officiate the ceremony, and they also wrote their own vows, which were so beautifully written that they read like a poem.

I know it’s the words that count, but look how pretty these vows are.

The boys from Virginia.

Signing the marriage license with their officiant (their good friend Robbie).

Cocktail hour was in the art gallery at the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center.

I am a big fan of toasts in general, and Kevin’s brother delivered a heartfelt toast with grace.

A little Virginia representation.
