Joyelle West Photography is a Boston wedding photographer who brings a modern and artistic flair to Boston wedding photography. She is frequently commissioned as a Massachusetts wedding photographer but is available to photograph weddings through New England and beyond.
Lyndsey, Charlie, and I met the weekend before the 4th of July to photograph their engagement session on Lake Winnipesaukee. We took Lyndsey’s grandmother’s boat, a beautiful wooden boat from 1937, out across the lake to one of the natural islands there, and we had a blast photographing just before dusk. Can’t wait for their wedding in September at Mills Falls.
Arlington Town Hall is a beautiful place, with old stone, ornately carved wood, and gorgeous gardens, so I was thrilled when Melissa and Aubrey chose it for their wedding. The weather proved to be a little on the damp side, so the ceremony, which was originally scheduled to be outside, was moved into the main hall. The stage made a dramatic backdrop to a very moving ceremony. One of the things that I loved about this day is that Melissa and Aubrey stayed true to their beliefs – they made sure that the food was locally sourced, they made sure the chocolates that they gave as favors were fair-trade, and they made a speech at the end of their ceremony about fighting for marriage equality in the US.

I’ve been photographing a number of events lately that I’ve had to keep under wraps, but I did get permission to post these two pics from my recent wedding at the Harvard Faculty Club. One of the bride and one of the ketuba signing. Enjoy!
This photo of Laura and Kevin was taken during our engagement session at the Franklin Park Zoo. It was actually super crowded there, which you can’t tell from the photo, but we managed to squeeze in some cute pics while working our way around various class trips. In keeping with the animal theme, Laura even donned her bird t-shirt, which I thought was quite fitting. Can’t wait for their wedding in a few weeks at Upstairs on the Square in Cambridge.
