I have been a wedding photographer in the Boston area for the past 9 years, and I am fortunate to say that I am absolutely in love with my job. I feel that it is an honor to be able to document one of the most important events between two people.
In terms of style, my approach to photographing a wedding is to combine aspects of documentary photography with aspects of lifestyle photography. I like to make things look real, but really beautiful. I also like to shoot as the day unfolds, with minimal intrusion and interruption. I love to document real emotion while capturing simple moments and little details. I also incorporate an authentic sense of place into my work. In essence, my goal when you look back on the photos is to make you really feel like you are reliving it all over again.
Besides photography, I am also passionate about yoga, cycling, and hiking. When I am not photographing a wedding on a summer weekend, you can often find me on my bike around Boston or on a trail in the White Mountains. I find that I can’t live my life without coffee or NPR. I am obsessed with design and addicted to design blogs of all types. I love cooking and wine, and I seriously cannot last long without Indian food.
My photo studio is in Central Square, Cambridge, and I live in Arlington with my awesome husband and very dog-like cat. I am an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania and the New England School of Photography. I am fortunate to be surrounded with incredible family and friends.
Thanks for stopping by!
