Habitat Wedding in Belmont

Small weddings are just so intimate and lovely, and this 25-person affair was no exception. I’ve always wanted to photograph a wedding at the Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary in Belmont, so I was super excited about this late summer wedding. Habitat, which is apart of the Mass Audubon Society, is a small nature preserve with forest and trails, a historic mansion, and a beautiful formal garden. The bride wanted to accent the natural elements of the space with lush flowers, and Petalena did an amazing job of bringing the bride’s vision to life. And special thanks goes to Jennifer from Esq.Events for coordinating it all.

Nancy Gandrud - beautiful! who made the bridesmaids dresses and did the flowers?

Joyelle - Nancy – The flowers were from Petalena. Apryl from Petalena did a beautiful job! The bride let each bridesmaid choose their own dress, so they were a mix of sources. I know that one of them was vintage, and one of them was from Lord and Taylor. Not sure about the third. But they all ended up matching the garden style really well!

Joyelle - Allison – Thank you! Yes, she got ready on site. I think it was a children’s classroom upstairs!
