I can’t decide what I loved most about Amy and Eric’s wedding in Vermont at the Hawk Inn – the beautiful backdrop of the mountains, Amy’s super fun color scheme, or the fact that for dessert they had two of my personal favorites – Ben and Jerry’s ice cream from Vermont, and cookies from Momofuku Milk Bar in NYC. A few weeks ago, Lauren, Desmond, and I met up in Boston for their engagement session in Beacon Hill. They were on route from Philly, where they live, to Nantucket, where they are planning their wedding. It was fun to wander around Boston for their engagement session, and talk about my hometown of Philly, Lauren’s yoga classes, and her recent triathlon. Can’t wait for their wedding in October at the Wauwinet.
I first met Ruth and Stéphane in July 2009 at the wedding of Ruth’s sister Katie and her husband Matt. It was lovely to work with their family then, and it was so great to see everyone again. When you photograph a wedding, and then get to go back and photograph a sibling’s wedding, you start to feel like a member of the family, like that second cousin who gets to show up at all the family parties. Ruth got ready at her family’s house in Brewster, and I photographed her and Stéphane on the grounds in the garden, then we headed to the Old Sea Pines Inn for the ceremony and reception.
Last week I had the honor of being the only guest at this super secret elopement at Boston’s City Hall. The couple wanted their wedding photos to remain private, but I’m able to share this one with you:
