The start of spring has been making me think wistfully of good weather and things growing. So perfect timing to show you some details from a farm wedding that I photographed last year, where the emphasis was on a rustic vintage feel, delicate flowers, found natural objects, and a rabbit theme. The couple even had a vintage typewriter instead of a guest book, so guests could type out notes to them. Enjoy!
Maggie, Chris and I totally lucked out last week – the day of their engagement session was the best day so far this year. So we were able to shoot their engagement session in Marblehead as if it were spring. We photographed in downtown Marblehead then stumbled upon this cute little hillside park with some amazing old stone, beautiful views of the water, and perfect light.
Rebecca and Bastien travelled from wine country in California back to Boston to have their wedding with friends and family. Rebecca’s family is local, and Bastien’s family, including his grandparents, travelled across the Atlantic from France. They merged their two cultures by having the entire ceremony and all the toasts in both French and English, and they incorporated more French elements by having the names of French towns on placecards with hand drawn pictures about each town. They were married at the intimate St. Botolph Club, a private club in Boston that is devoted to the arts. The flowers and beautiful flowering branches were from Winston.
