You may remember Catherine and Alex from our totally incredible engagement session on Georges Island. They had a lovely, intimate wedding in Newburyport at the beginning of October. The original plan called for an outdoor ceremony and lots of photos at Maudslay State Park, but some fickle New England weather interfered with Plan A, and things were moved indoors. But that didn’t stop the day from being completely fantastic, AND to top it all off, we still decided to do a post-wedding session in Maudslay during fall foliage, so stay tuned!

Ring bowl by the famous Paloma’s Nest.

Love the dress, love the veil, love the hair.

One of Alex’s best friends officiated the ceremony, which included a handfasting.

After the ceremony, we took a few pictures in the restaurant. We only had about three feet of available space, but as you can see, we got some nice variety out of the window.

In case you’re wondering, the cake top is model of their three ferrets. Aren’t they cute?!

Congrats you two! Can’t wait for the photos at Maudslay (i.e., you can’t get rid of me yet!).

That cake is fantastic! Love the ferrets. Beautiful shots.
The pre-wedding photos and the wrong-side of the glass photo were great. Alex, you have a lovely bride- may your joy last for many decades to come.
Beautiful photography! Loved the black and white photos especially the photo taken through the window. Also loved the photo of the bride taken before she changed into her gown…it was very evocative. It was such a lovely wedding despite the dismal weather and the photos really reflected that. Katie and Alex forever!
These are some of the best photos I’ve ever seen…they truly reveal the deep and unending love Katie and Alex have for one another.
