Karen and Newt in the Arnold Arboretum

I am a big sucker for autumn, so when Karen said she wanted to shoot their e-session with some fall foliage, I was completely game. These two are a completely fun-loving couple, and we spent the twilight hour in one of the prettiest parks in Boston.

Liz and Ethan at the Liberty Hotel

A very fitting venue for a unique couple! It sounds a bit tongue-in-cheek to say that an old jail is great venue for a wedding, but The Liberty is swank, sophisticated, and a design aficionado’s dream.

You gotta love a woman that wears a red dress.

Honestly, this is always hard for everyone:

Ethan waiting for Liz in the Liberty courtyard.

Liz is really rockin’ the dress here. And I love the maroon wall right next to her!

The ceremony was officiated by their good friend, Richard.

The poem read by Ethan’s good friend (and former English teacher) was especially moving.

Loved the incredibly fun bridal party.

The dinner-only reception was like a giant cocktail party. A good time was had by all!

Catherine and Alex in Newburyport

You may remember Catherine and Alex from our totally incredible engagement session on Georges Island. They had a lovely, intimate wedding in Newburyport at the beginning of October. The original plan called for an outdoor ceremony and lots of photos at Maudslay State Park, but some fickle New England weather interfered with Plan A, and things were moved indoors. But that didn’t stop the day from being completely fantastic, AND to top it all off, we still decided to do a post-wedding session in Maudslay during fall foliage, so stay tuned!

Ring bowl by the famous Paloma’s Nest.

Love the dress, love the veil, love the hair.

One of Alex’s best friends officiated the ceremony, which included a handfasting.

After the ceremony, we took a few pictures in the restaurant. We only had about three feet of available space, but as you can see, we got some nice variety out of the window.

In case you’re wondering, the cake top is model of their three ferrets. Aren’t they cute?!

Congrats you two! Can’t wait for the photos at Maudslay (i.e., you can’t get rid of me yet!).

Meghan and Michael

Meghan and Michael’s wedding at the end of September was not only beautiful but also very emotional. I am always moved by such outpouring of emotion, it just seems so indicative of how much this couple means to their friends and family. Thanks for letting me share in your special day!
